Workshop submission

Deadline

Monday, 11 November 2024, 4pm GMT

Instructions
  • Workshop proposals concerning all areas of neuropathic pain and itch are eligible for submission. This year, we are also looking for interdisciplinary line-ups, e.g. on what neuropathic pain and itch research can learn from other painful and/or inflammatory conditions.
  • We strongly encourage diversity in proposal submissions (e.g. by country/region and/or professional/training background). Inclusion of a junior presenter and/or patient partner will also be judged favorably.
  • Workshops are 90 minutes in length and should have three speakers. Line-ups with all speakers of the same gender or country are unlikely to be accepted.
  • If a workshop is selected, each speaker will receive €500 as a lump sum towards their travel and accommodation costs. Please note that if the proposal includes a 4th speaker, no additional reimbursement costs can be claimed.
  • For applications that include a speaker with lived experience, the Scientific Programme Committee will select the top 2 workshops in this category. For those, we will be able to offer the patient partner free registration, economy travel and accommodation to allow workshop participation.
  • A single speaker can be involved in a maximum of three workshop applications: two ‘regular’ workshops and one hands-on workshop. They can only be submitting author on one of these.
  • All speakers need to be able to communicate fluently in English and should be prepared to register and attend NeuPSIG 2025. The submitting speaker needs to be a member of IASP and NeuPSIG.
Please also note:
  • Workshop proposals must be submitted via this online submission system only. Workshop proposals submitted by email will not be accepted.
  • Workshop proposals must be submitted in English.
  • Workshop proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.
  • Submission of a workshop proposal acknowledges your acceptance of the workshop proposal to be listed in the official meeting publications.
  • Speakers need to declare any conflicts of interest relating to their workshop presentations at NeuPSIG 2025.
